Tim Laudan is an independent supplier of credit card terminals. He gets people to sign contracts with Northern Leasing and they WILL NOT let you out of the contract. He doesn't leave a copy of the contract with you, you have to ask for a copy. I have filed a complaint with FTC, Tex. Attorney General, my local district attorney, and no one can help do anything. Tim Laudan gave me a written agreement that he would personally assume the lease on the terminal after 3 mos. if I wasn't satisfied. He has the terminal now and will not return phone calls or respond to any letters written to him. I have mailed letters signature required, and he will not go to the post office and pick them up. He has at least 2 different addresses he uses. If anyone has any advice, I'd sure appreciate it. I've sent off for the Rip- Off Revenge Guide but haven't received it yet.

#2 UPDATE Employee
Vicky at Whitney Barber is a liar!
AUTHOR: Tim L - (U.S.A.)

I googled my name and found a "rip off report" filed on this web site by Vicki of Whitney Barber Shop Whitney Texas. I would first like to explain the nature of our transaction. I set up a merchant account for "Vicki" to allow her to take credit cards in her barber shop. She was told every intricate detail of the transaction. She was told that I would transfer the terminal the equipment lease to someone else in the event she didn't receive any credit cards. (She Did) She was responsible for finding someone to assume the equipment, and I would do the paperwork for free. She signed a personal guarantee. She verified the lease independently with the leasing company via a recorded telephone conversation. She was told by me, and the leasing company that the lease was NON-CANCELLABLE! These words were written in large red print all over the lease she signed. She also had a merchant account with Visa & Mastercard, as well as Discover, and Amex. I did nothing deceptive, or misleading. If Vicki Hutchinson had given me the opportunity, I would have transferred the lease, but she called being very rude, and making demands. I will not be bullied into submission by this woman!! She is a liar!!

Northern Leasing released me from contract

I e-mailed everyone that had e-mail addresses on the Northern Leasing website twice. I nicely explained my situation with sales rep. Tim Laudan, who never responded to any of my attempts to contact him. I received a phone call saying that I was being released from my contract and they would go after Laudan, who has the credit card terminal. It took me a couple of weeks to get it in writing but they did send it to me.
