I purchased a set of dentures from Dr. Kerr. When these dentures were given to me I was told after several weeks that I probably would need to have them re-aligned. I was told the first alignment would be free. After about 6-8 months I called for an appointment and was told there would be a fee of about 130.00 per denture. The lady told me that because I did not have my teeth extracted at their clinic this would be the fee. At no time during my visits was I informed that I would have to pay for the first realignment. I purchased these thinking that at least one would be included. Their phone message center even states there is a free relignment for dentures purchased there. It dose not state that you must have your teeth extraxted at thier clinic for this to be free. At this time I can not keep my dentures inplace with out using various types of adhesives.

I find it amusing that a 12 year employee does not spell the Doctors name correctly.

It is unfortunate that this patient is unhappy of the service he received from our office with his dentures. I, as a consumer do not like when I go to a store and pick something off the shelf that I believe is priced one way only to find that I did not read the sign correctly. As a 12 year employee and the Office Manager of Northside Dental Clinic, I feel I need to address this issue so that it does not mislead consumers to believe we are running any scams here. In d**k's complaint he states that Dr Ker offered to reline his new dentures at no charge. This is not typical, because the denture fits when the patient received them unless a problem occurs suddenly or we foresee a problem in which we address at THAT TIME, not six months down the road. In most cases this is where a person either has health issues due to medications, dry or overactive salivary glands, weight loss/gain or just a hard time getting a long with a new denture, etc. etc. etc. I am not sure what the case was with this patient, and I would not share that information regardless. We always strive to make the patient happy and go over and above to satisfy them. Dr Ker has been making dentures as long as I am old, 42 years. And has a great reputation in Springfield Missouri for that. d**k states our answering service states we offer a free reline, he may want to listen to it again, it states "we offer a reline service with unlimited free adjustments". What this means is that if a patient comes in and has their denture relined in our office, they may come back at anytime and we will adjust them at no charge and there is no limit on how many adjustments they may have. If any person were to call around they would find this service to be extinct, most dentist will only allow 3-4 adjustments on a new denture they made, it is unheard of for a dentist to offer free unlimited adjustments on a denture that they only relined. This is an invaluable service and should be applauded not complained about.
