In my opinion, this is pure fraud!!  

The problem here is the NU-WAY TDTC is placing an add in the Michigan Talent Bank as if they are hiring:

This is the add as it appear at that site, in brief summary indicates:

1. That they are offering Full Time Employment

2. Have 65 Jobs available

3. Offers Benefits

4. Job description highlights HIRING, which they are not.

5. The verbiage leads you to think that training is at the companys expense.

 It is for these misleading statements ID STAY CLEAR OF THE COMPANY

Its dreadful that NU-WAY is taking advantage of the un-employed with this false and misleading ad.

The price is $5995 if you pay before you graduate. If not it goes up to $6495. Then the loan is at 19% thru them ending cost is a little over $10,000.00. Now as for getting a job right after graduating yes you can if you take just anything. I am a recent graduate & found several of there instructors very helpful. Now if you really believe you will get a job right out of school for $1,100 a week you are delusional. Out of school you will get several pre-hires & then decide which place to go to for orientation. Now you will get a orientation pay if they decide to hire you but if they do not then you get nothing. If hired by the company then you will be a trainee for up to 2 months. Pay varies during your trainee period anywhere from $300-$550 a week depends on who you go with. After your training period is done you will get your own truck & for 6 months be considered a student driver. Your pay will probably be anywhere from .26-.32 per mile. I am guessing for the first year if you make $35,000-$45,000 you have done well. Some get lucky out of school & make more but like any job you have to work your way up. If you go into any school thinking you will get top pay right after you are done then you do not know how real life is. Once you have driven for 2 yrs in this industry is when the rewards can start to happen as long as you have a good safety record & work record. do not jump from company to company. Take your lumps & bruises. You might have to sacrifice something in the beginning for the rewards later. But that is just the way everything is anywhere. Just IMHO

I do not know if this person even really graduated from Nu-Way TDTC. Based on the information he provides in his "complaint"... it does not appear that he ever did. First, our tuition is $5,995 now and has been since years before the time he claims to have attended this school. At that time there were discounts available to students paying cash or if they enrolled under certain qualifying state programs. No student was ever charged more than $5,995 for tuition. Additionally, our students have many job offers before they even graduate, ranging currently between $750 and $1,100 per week + benefits... and if an occassional (rare) student graduates without employment, it is by their own choice as the result of turning down opportunities available or other actions on their own part that interfere with their availability for work, such as demanding certain limited hours or income or work assignment expectations not realistic as a new driver. While employment with the major companies is directly arranged for students at this school, In 2003 many of the available local jobs with smaller companies required actions on the part of the student graduate, such as showing up for an interview. That was clearly explained and students who really wanted to work locally did what they needed to do through our Placement Department and then went to work. If this gentleman really is a graduate of Nu-Way and was not employed, it was as the result of his own actions... or lack of motivation to do what was required of him. In our most recent report to the State of Michigan, virtually every one of their students had job offers in hand before they graduated... 70% had multiple offers while the rest chose their first employer. 80% were confirmed to still be gainfully employed in this industry even 1 1/2 years after graduation (which is as far back as that report went)... I would challenge any school to match that record. So if this person really is a graduate, he is a rare exception to our normal students' performance and his situation is the result of his own behavior or attitude. Even Harvard Law School cannot guarantee that every single one of their graduates will choose to want to work for a living and be successful... and do what is required to make that happen...And those individuals who do not will be very likely to loudly blame anyone except themselves for their own failures.
