I got ripped off for $400 in rebates on an E Machines Desktop Rebate and bought it from Office Depot. For the same reasons that everyone else stated; I was taken to the cleaners.
But I am going to fight back and hope that everyone who has been ripped off by all the different computer manufacturers and retailers will also do something more than just complain. I just bought the Rip Off Revenge Book and I'll let you know how it turns out. We must all band together to make a change. They have a lot of nerve to steal from us. I hope to get the information to report these companies to the proper authorities and get justice for all of us.
I'll write again when I get the book. This was not the first time this has happened to me. But I'm not going to take it any more! And thanks for empowering us Ed! You are a true knight in shining armor.
