Old Dominion Freight Line We're being hounded by collection agencies for their clerical error Internet

This has been going on for over two years. We are a self storage facility and we accept deliveries for our customers.

A customer had his goods delivered by Old Dominion and a clerk at Old Dominion incorrectly filled out the manifest so the bill to address was the same as the ship to address.

Old Dominion billed our customer 4 times the quoted price for delivery. It took him a while but he finally got it straightened out. So it seems that Old Dominion wants to get the difference from us. We started getting past due bills. We wrote and called Old Dominion and explained the situation. We were ignored. We had our customer speak with his representative at Old Dominion to get them to stop billing us. We have an email from this representative, which we forwarded to the collection agencies, telling us that the problem was fixed. Well it wasn't.  We believe the drivers also started tacking on extra charges because they had to pull the pallet off the truck.  We have a truck loading dock and a dock ramp, easy unloading.  We are also getting billed for that.

We now have a third collection agency calling us every day trying to get money from us that we don't owe. We explained the situation to the 2 previous agencies and asked them to ask Old Dominion for a copy of a contract between us and them. Since this does not exist it should help in stopping the harassment. No. Brick Wall!

Nothing we say or do stops this. More money has been spent trying to collect this non-existent bill than what Old Dominion claims we owe.

We are going to have to tell our customer that we will no longer accept deliveries from Old Dominion. He will probably move out and we'll hate to lose him, but this has got to stop.
