In June of 2011 I was having technical problems with my computer. I went to the help section and it connected me with omnitechsupport.com. They told me they could fix my problem. They told me for a annual fee they could be available for any problem 24/7. I agreed because I needed my computer for my work to be submitted on time without glitches.
Every time they did maintenance my computer sound would not work the next morning or my printer would not print. Programs essential to my work would also be missing. When I would call it took sometimes hours to correct the problems. Often they would transfer me from one technician to another. They would try to get me to renew my contract with them before they did any work.
I complained repeatedly, but the technician although often having an American name did not type or speak grammatically correct English. They often did not understand what I was asking them to do.
I bought a new computer and printer in December of 2011 thinking that must have been the problem. When I transferred over the information for them to do maintenance once again things did not work or were missing on my computer. I do a live radio show and often during the last year I was scrambling down to the last few minutes trying to get everything to work for my international Internet show.
I responded to their email about the scheduled maintenance and told them I did not want them to touch my computer. I did not want to talk to them unless they were willing to give me a refund for them making things worse on my computer. They called me daily wanting to talk to me. Today they finally left a voice mail saying call 1-800-966-9940 ext 503 and speak to Honey about a refund. I called and was on hold for six minutes and no one answered. I called back and when they finally answered I asked for ext 503 as instructed. They wanted to have my omni account number which I did not have at that moment. They finally connected me and Honey said they would have given me a refund, but since there was only one month left on my contract worth $25 and there is a $25.25 fee for early cancellation there would be no refund. She said if I had said something earlier they might have been able to fix the problem. I told her I did complain regularly. She said that there was an American tech that could help me on Wednesday. She said they have an A+ rating. Not with me they do not. I said no I do not want to talk with the American tech as I already hired another company. I said to her that if it is worth it to you have have a bad reference and to not pay the refund than so be it. So here it is the report. My recommendation is do not use Omnitechsupport.com
