John Kane, the owner of One Planet Cars and Credit is a scam artist. I used to work for him in advertising and have a lot more horror stories then just the scam that was pulled on me.
I had a 2006 lexus IS 250 with 60,000 miles on it. I went to my part time friday employer who sells cars and repairs cars as well. The initial quote was for a water pump replacement of $400.00, then after the repair was completed it jumped to $650.
Hard times fell on a lot of us and the vehicle was out for repo anywas, so i just told him to keep it there and would tell the dealership to take there car back. About a month later, Lexus came to pick up there vehicle but couldnt take it off the property till a bill of $6,518.96 was paid. Lexus and One Planet settled for $5,500 which is now on my credit report tacked on to the balance of the unpaid vehicle.
On his bill was
168 days of storage at 20.00 per day (was there only 30 days max)
Tow for $115.00 (drove car in)
Front hub bearings R&I $837.50 + 405.00 labor@ 90.00 hour..(double whats normal for his business )
Window regulators front 317.78 + 315 labor@ 90.00 hour
theres more .. but you get the idea. It is a hand written bill and hard to make out. The one thing you can certainly make out is the date i apparently signed for! 10-15-2010

This is my rip off report. Hopefully enogh people that have been ripped off will report as well and get these scam artists out of business

RIPS YOU OFF THEN TAKES YOU TO COURT AS A SMOKE SCREEN *** TAKE A LOOK AT THIS***
I recently went to court in Clearwater over a matter of a restraining order that was filed by John Kane (pres. One Planet Cars and Credit ). There were 2 alleged acts of violence at his place of business towards this person in this restraining order and he is supposedly fearing for his life. Even with a witness that can %100 confirm I was with her and no were close to his shop. I had notarized letters from my customers that place me no where near the John Kane's business , the judge ruled with an iron fist and pretty much granted the injunction. This is Restraining order abuse to the absolute max There also was a viscous attack on my business using this restraining order! In the restraining order John Kane had placed my 2 largest customers in the category of where i must remain 500ft from the locations. I have a notarized letter from one of the companies stating that they do not know who he is and I am a valued and needed vendor. The other letter from the other company stating the same that I am welcome , and that they agree that this was to hurt my business. This has hit my business hard as they account for approximately 75% of my business. Removing the 2 locations is the only thing the judge did do and even though he knew that John lied in the restraining order, let it slide and granted the injunction. I later learned that this is categorized as ABUSE OF PROCESS! My right to bear arms has been removed indefinably. My life is almost %100 in control with what ever more lies he decides to make up. Cant get any job which require a security clearance if I needed one. .over scamming used car dealers lies! HE SHOULD BE IN JAIL!!!! This man has perjured 90 % of his restraining order. Took an oath to tell the whole truth in court and lied 95% straight to the judges face. Every time I point out that he is lying with evidence handed to the judge, nothing happens.
**Before the restraining order was in effect i would notice that the cars were not beinng sold even remotly as good in prior months** i dont think i even recognized one car gone which makesme feel good that aparently RIPOFFREPORT.COM is in fact working!
