Onlinesupplier ripoff Goleta California

My experience is similar to the other complaintents. I signed up online to receive a free kit that would get me started working online with Ebay. I only needed to pay $1.95 for shipping and handling. My bank was immediately debited with that amount. I never received the kit and pretty much forgot about it. Several weeks later when I was checking my bank transactions online, I was surprised to see that I was billed $29.95 from online suppliers. I had never authorized any further charges from them. I quickly called my bank and was advised to call their 800 number and have them cancel the charge and be sure to get a confirmation number.

The young man at onlinesuppliers did give me a confirmation number. I also informed him I never received the package therefore I wanted them to cancel the shipping and handling charge of $1.95. When I called my bank to give them the confirmation number they informed me they'd already taken off the charge of $29.95. Next time I checked my bank transactions I saw where online suppliers had never taken back the charge of $1.95 but had charged me an additional $1.95. I tried calling the 800 number I'd called originally but it was no longer in service. If I'd called the number my bank supplied online for the additional $1.95, I would have had to pay for a long distance call. I decided that after being put on hold etc. long distance it wouldn't be worth the hassle. By the way I read one of the rebuttals by online suppliers where they stated the people obviously hadn't read the small print. There was no such thing on the ad where I signed up. I printed it out so I know for sure. And I never checked any of the boxes for free coaching, etc. I sure hope the state of California gets after these creeps. Thanks to my bank I wasn't victimized to the extend of others but it's the principle of the thing. Online suppliers are shady charactors to say the least.
