In october I applied to the Orlando Police Departmnet via online pre-application. A few days later I was told I was qualified and to pay the 30 dollar application fee and submit a full application. A week later I called to question the status of my application and I was informed that there were more suitable applicants and that I could reapply in 3 weeks (and pay again). So In 1 week there were more suitable applicants? Seems to me there are no spots and this is just an automated scam in which the city brings in money. There is also a review on officer.com of somone who also took the application and was bilingual with 8 years on his current department with a masters degree and was given the same response. This is a scam and future applicants should be forewarned.
