This will be long so that I can include all the details to be sure things are clear to any of you nice folks who can help. I started working for a company called Thats My Baby in June of 2007. It is a newborn photography company that has bases in numerous hospitals throughout the company. I loved the job at first but soon learned it was crap. Many of my checks were shorted, they went through 3 different district managers in the 7 months that I was there, coworkers rarely showed up, paperwork was lost, & numerous other problems arose. The month before I gave my 2 weeks notice & resigned there was a merger & a company called Our365 took over. Many policies changed & one was that we were now supposed to accept cash from the patients & go get money orders for them (on our own time NOT on the clock). Our regional manager told me & my coworkers to mail in the money orders & save the stubs there in the office books. I always did this. Well I quit the job (the proper way) December 19th of 2007 & today out of nowhere got a letter in the mail stating that they had NOT recieved the money orders & that I had 10 days to pay the $600 worth of customer accounts that they had unaccounted for or it was going to be reported to collections & go on my credit. They also want the stubs, which theyhave here in the office though after a year I can only hope that they are still there. The "office" by the way was a storage closet in the hospital with no air flow, I live in Las Vegas & it IS hot.

Is there a statute of limitations or ANYTHING? Its been a year almost & they are coming after me for debts that are not mine! I am panicking as we have been working hard to build our credit to purchase a home for our family. I had called the numbers they gave me over a dozen times to no avail. I simply get voicemail over & over. I did finally get her one time & she said that they are "investigating" & I will just have to wait. Please help!!! This can't be legal.

I can't afford a lawyer, that'd cost more than the money they are saying I owe. That's why I came on here. Keep the advice coming! I need all the help I can get!

I have worked for Our365 for over 12 years. Prior to Our 365 they were First Foto/Growing Family. I love my job. Once in a great while there is a mess up in paperwork / pay. But this is true with any company. If the employee is organized and keeps track of his / her paperwork. It only takes a moment to correct the error. I take great pride in my work. Yes new Mothers can be difficult, the reward of seeing you work make a new Mom smile is worth it. Regarding the money order issue. I made that super easy on myself. I write a check out of my personal checking account and deposit the cash. No big deal. I am at the bank a few times a week anyway. But I do understand the issue of using our personal time for obtain the money orders. I find my job to be very rewarding. Over my 12 years we have had several district managers. Sales is a high turnover industry. We have also had a couple photographers whom were known to keep the cash and never get a money order. For this reason the company does hold expense checks until the issue is resolved. Keeps us on our toes to be complete with our paperwork. Though I FULLY understand people issues. I LOVE MY JOB. I do not know anyone who does not have problems with their job at one time or another. My personal rewards out weigh the occasional "issues" that come up.

So glad the issue was resolved. I have always found the company to be fair and helpful.

After hours of aggravation & countless calls. The woman agreed to drop the issue & erase the debt. It took a lot of frustration (& even some tears) but we finally resolved the issue. I would still advise any current or future employees to keep careful track of EVERYTHING.

I feel your pain! I currently work for Our365 and I have had some issues with them shorting me on my commission sales. I'm assuming that they sent out the productivity reports with the paycheck stubs like they do now. If you still have them, my advice for you is to go back and look at your paycheck info to see if they paid you on those sales. If they paid you then they obviously received the money orders because they NEVER pay the MSR until THEY get paid. Hope this helps and I am going to make sure to go back and copy my money order stubs right now!! I don't want them coming after me too.

Everything you say about this company is true!!!! I did not work for them before they changed over to Our365 and I was confused so I can only imagine how it must have been for you. And not only do they want you to use your gas and go get money orders off the clock, if you were to get into an accident then they would not be liable since it was off the clock!!!! This is total and complete BS and I hope somebody sues their butts one day. They treat their employees like crap and you get very little respect from hospital staff either. Thank goodness I did not stay with this "company" for long.

I work for this company and we are required to turn cash into a money orders. This company is so greedy that they would never tell the customers that we don't accept cash. They'd rather take the cash and have us wait in line at the post office (after we clocked out) to get a money order. I have only been working at this company for a few months but it has been a nightmare every single day. They promise to pay commission and never do and my check are ALWAYS short. I HATE my district Manager and there is too much pressure to sell the pictures.

Did you get your last paycheck? If yes than you are legally seperated from the company as they acknowledged they got everything back issued to you and no open discrepancies, tell them to F' Off
