On several occassions I was called by this firm and told that I had an outstanding bill with Care Credit for dental work done in October of 2007. When I questioned M. Keaton about where and when the work was done she was extremely rude, wouldn't give me the specifics and threatened to put this on my credit report.

When she said that I had not responded to her letters, I inquired as to the address where these letters were sent which were to a totally different state. The social security number was not mine, date of birth was incorrect, and place of services rendered not where I live.

I called my attorney and asked what I could do to prove they had the wrong person and to protect my credit. He suggested I check with the Colorado Bar and see if this person was indeed an attorney, register this with my states attorney general as a scam, and to check my credit report. All of this was done and the calls continued with threatening messages left on my answering machine.

We then asked for her supervisor and he said he would take care of it. I am not sure if this is the end of it but certainly hope so.

Thank you Ripoff Report for posting another similar complaint against this firm. I learned that this is what they do and unsuspecting people pay them out of fear. It helped me to think rationally and get to the bottom of this issue with a cool head. Let's hope thi is the end of it.
