We received a letter in the mail with a check for $3750.00 with Schlumberger Technology Corporation 100 Gillinham Lane, Sugar Land, TX 77478 on the check. This letter stated that my husband had won a lotto drawing via computer ballot. The check was to cover the international clearance fees of $3500.00 and he would then receive a check for $169,750.00 ($175,000.00 minus $5,250.00 for sponsors commission).
This letter also advised my husband to keep this award highly confidential as part of their security protocol until his winning had been processed and the money has been remitted to him. His claim agent is apparently Frank Wiseman of Octagon Financiers, an accredited agency to Pacific Random Lotto.
He must call by March 3rd for authorization and activation of the check. Signed Alfonso Hayes, Prize Co-ordinator. The envelope was from Canada.
O.K, so after research and receiving a check a few days earlier from people who claimed to be Pacific Research Company, we knew this was a hoax!! DO NOT BUY INTO IT!! You will have to pay these funds back and could get it for forgery. See the Pacific Research Group entry for those details.
