In Jan. and Feb. 2003, I completed several translation assignments for this agency. They were never paid.
I sent emails requesting payment, but got no reply. I placed Pangea with a collection agency, to no avail.
Tamra Lewis, President of Pangea, sent the collection agency a vicious, scathing letter claiming that I had harassed them, using "foul-mouthed telephone calls" -- when my phone records show no such thing. Of course, she knows the ropes and never paid.
I filed a complaint w/a translators' website called proz.com, at their Blueboard. A fellow translator also filed a complaint there.
T. Lewis responded there that I never finished the job. There are no emails or communications substantiating this.
I also filed a complaint at another translators' website called gotranslators.com
I since received an email from another translator who said that two of his colleagues warned him about this agency when they approached him about doing some work.

T. Lewis was going through a very difficult time when all of this happened; she had an employee completely rip off the company and take all the money she had, she had an ex husband who took the rest. I am not defending what she did to you, as I know it was wrong, but she is a very caring lady who really tried to fix things. She had no way of correcting the actions against her company that took place.
I really sympathize with you on what happened, and would like to offer you to join my site to get more work. I will also give anyone a discount that encountered problems with this company.
