Payless Blinds LLC Luis Promises exactly what you want and delivers something you don't want Kissimmee Florida

 We contacted Payless Blinds to purchase and install blinds/shades on six windows in our new construction home. During my initial conversation with Luis I told him we were interested in faux wooden blinds for three windows and roman shades on the other three. Luis advised me that he could not do the roman shades and had other options available for us. When he arrived at our home we explained to him exactly what we were looking for. The three bedrooms would have the faux wood blinds, and the other three windows would have a shade that covered only the bottom half of the window. We were very specific with this request. Bottom half of window covered by shade and the upper portion not covered, leaving upper half of the window exposed allowing light to enter. This particular request was mentioned many times by both of us during his consultation and he acknowledged it by saying that we needed to make sure to pull the shade up when washing dishes so we would not splash water on the fabric. Our knowledge of these products is very limited. During his visit I asked for a bottom up shade instead of a top down. Even though I used the incorrect term, I would have hoped that he would have corrected me with his expertise and familiarity of his products and corrected me by explaining the difference between top/down-bottom/up shades. And at the least when we were asking for something that would only cover the bottom portion of the window leaving the upper half exposed he would have known what we were asking for. The blinds were installed two week after his initial visit.

After installing the kitchen shade he showed me how it operated. I responded that it was upside down, we wanted the shade to cover only the bottom half of the window. He responded by stating that these shades can only be installed at the top of the window and roll bottom up. I immediately reminded him what we had initially asked for and he just said that his is what we ordered. At the end of the installation process I wrote him a check for the full amount (maybe another mistake). After a subsequent phone conversation he offered to install honeycomb cellular shades for an additional $458.10. He offered us a partial credit on our original purchase if we purchased the cellular shades from Payless Blinds. We declined that offer and instead asked for half the cost of the original shades returned to us. We have yet to receiving a response from him, and I doubt we will be hearing back from him. Again, I accept full responsibility for using the incorrect phrase when describing the type of shade we wanted. At the same time Luis needs to accept responsibility for his error. Not explaining to us that what he was selling us would cover the entire window when down and not just the lower half of the window.
