PBN Services, LLC Paid .99 for phone number look-up, they charged $20 on my credit card the next month San Diego California

When you do a reverse phone number lookup, this is one of those companies which says the information is on file but you have to pay 99 cents for it.  Okay, no big deal.  But next month, my credit card declined, when I knew I had a few bucks in it.  Turns out this company charges your credit card for a $20 "trial membership," then when you call later they point you to fine print in the lower right-hand corner.  These kinds of terms, any extra charges, are by the Truth In Advertising laws supposed to be prominent to where you are paying the initial charge.   Why would I want reverse phone look-up services for 3 months or whatever.  I only had this one number.  Stay away from companies that charge you a small amount for reverse look-up, records check, that kind of thing.  Very shady.
