Pressler & Pressler had several judgments on me. The first one they put a levy on my property for. I paid that debt, and now they want to garnish my wages for that same debt. The second judgement they levied my bank account with no notice and sent my employer papers to garnish my wages for that debt as well.
They have left me broke. I don't make that much money and have a family to support. The sherriffs office said they had nothing on record that the first debt was ever paid, I faxed them paperwork showing that it in fact was, and that my bank account was levied for the other debt, in which I had no notice of. They are suppost to be taking care of the matter. This company has caused me so much stress, and anxiety from what they have done to me.
Someone needs to do something about these people. They don't care about your situation, just draining you of all your money, and how they can get even more. And judges keep signing , allowing them to do this to people without giving them a chance to defend themselves. They should all be ashamed of themselves!

I've reported that Pressler lied to me and about me. Since their lie was done by mail, I'm
reporting mail fraud to the Post Office, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and any other appropriate agencies (BTW my lawyer says I'm "judgement proof").

Pressler and Pressler, with their stooge New Century Financial, isn't a true collection agency. What they do is get ahold of debt that have arisen through other companies which, in effect, means that Pressler is an investment company who buy debt for pennies on the dollar so if you're feeling sorry for Pressler, don't.
It's ludicrous that an investment company can threaten to jail someone for their own pure profit (frequently Pressler gets ahold of fictional debt which was either cleaned up
a long time ago or was erroneously charged to a person that never should have been).
Pressler made the decision to pick up the debt without a gun held to their head, so why are they given the right (through a rubberstamping judge) to jail someone? This needs to be corrected through the legislature (incidentally, Pressler, I'm awaiting your proof of
debt).

Pressler and Pressler are a bunch of lying scumbags

I live in Mercer County. Pressler filed a motion hearing to which I had to attend on 3/27/2009. I attended on 3/27 (and Pressler didn't) and was given an information subpoena to fill out (I mailed it in by certified mail).
Pressler claims I didn't attend (the court clerk, Chris, says he doesn't keep records on who attends) and got a judge to rubberstamp an order to arrest me if I don't respond to the information subpoena (which I already did). It's apparent that Pressler is harassing me in order to intimidate me, but that won't work for them and I've referred this to my lawyer (BTW no collection agency can legally go after retirement income including Social Security and pension).
I hope the Attorney General runs Pressler out of this state (I understand their stupid collection agency, New Century Financial Services, isn't bonded to conduct business in NJ; I also understand that Pressler and New Century are affiliated and that New Century went bankrupt).
Melinda, if you haven't done so, get proof of debt from Pressler (who are "F" rated by the BBB who are very reluctant to negatively rate businesses).
I wish you the best,
Stuart
