I received phone calls from an anonymous source, so I went online to finda reverse telephone directory. As I suspected, the calls originated from a cell phone--I could even identify the city the anonymous caller's service was in by the phone number itself. As a result, I would have to use a pay service to find the identity of the caller.
I looked at several companies online, but when I entered the phone number into the home page of PhoneNumberScan.com, it brought up a preliminary report screen indicating that the caller's name and address WERE available and WOULD be on the final report, after I paid $19.95 to become a "member." Though I had a bad feeling about it (ALWAYS go with your gut instinct), I went ahead and gave my credit card number and paid the $19.95.
I was subsequently given a final report on the anonymous caller. It, in fact, did NOT contain the caller's name or address--merely some technical information about which I did not care nor did I need.
Since my $19.95 covered unlimited use for a year, I plugged in a land line which I know is listed in the phone book. Although, again, it promised a name and address, along with technical information I did not need, PhoneNumberScan.com once again did not list the name and/or address of the owner of that phone number.
I read the Terms and the FAQ's, and unless I missed something, there is not a clause or line of fine print that says they will promise information and then not deliver. I have wasted $19.95. DO NOT USE PHONENUMBERSCAN.COM (it ought to be called PhoneNumberSCAM.com).

They did the same thing to me and it stinks but keep in mind Mr. PI...
We are human and if we had known this before then we would not be here now griping about getting scammed by these kind-its pretty clear that "Texas" and I both made mistakes by giving our money to this company but back off a little would ya?? I think we've both learned our lesson and wont be doing that again in the near future.
And if you are so "available" for business and good at what you do with the 1 satisfied customer you mentioned, then I want to know - where was your ad when we were searching google? Clearly it wasnt first on the list-otherwise you would have 2 more satisfied customers to add to your growing pile. Maybe you could re-consider your current and look into a better ad campaign in your spare time to "spare" people like us rather than looking around for people you can point the finger at and talk about "shoulda, coulda, woulda, blah, blah, blah" Thank You and have a nice day.

First of all when you have any type of service request or search "ALWAYS" seek a licensed private investigator!
Investigators that are licensed, insured and affiliated with any type of ASSOCIATION helps. They normally maintain a good standing in the Investigations community.
Your search could of been conducted for $75.00 and you would normally obtain the information in 24-48 hrs.
I just got doing one yesterday and got back the results today. The client was happy. She originally placed a locate with us that cost $75.00 and then added the phone search for $30.00. As you can see that we didn't over price her since she gave us originally business with the locate bringing her price down on the other search!
I'm a PI, I work nationwide and am in good standing. I normally pride myself in getting good results for clients. So don't look down on all companies online.
NEXT TIME SEEK A LICENSED PI!
