I have a 2004 Mazda 6. These cars have problems with the front brakes, which is another story. Car makes a "moaning" noise when turning. It is an acknowledge problem with the 2003 model year and there is a TSB for the for the problem. But, the vehicle had to be manufactured prior to a certain date. Mazda's fix is a updated brake pad and installation of the pads and new rotors. TSB states, "If vehicle has old pads, install updated pads and rotors." This involves just looking at the parts.

My car, made after the date but you would think would be updated, still makes the noise. I called beforehand because a co-worker had her Mazda 6 repaired at Pinnacle Mazda. I explained my problem, the year of my car, and the person on the phone said, "I know exactly what it is. We'll take care of it."

Took car in at 8:00AM, left it there all day, had to bum rides from several people. Never once got a phone call from the service manager. I called back at 4:00PM to ask what was going on. I was told, "Car is done." I returned after finding a ride, and noticed that the wheels had not even been removed.

Service manager said, "Couldn't make the sound". She was short with me and very rude. I had a technician ride with me. He basically said "Mazda is having huge problems with the brakes on alot of their new cars. I believe that you are having problems, I know what you are talking about."

When we returned, the manager asked the tech, "Did you hear the sound?" He said, "No". She told me, rudely, that there was nothing they could do. I reminded her that they did not even test drive my co-workers car to reproduce the problem. She said, "Your car should have the updated pads." Then she got personal and made some rude comments to me reference my job as a police officer.

I knew I was getting no where, just wanted to leave and go home. She was very rude and acted like she didn't have time for me.

Next day, e-mailed Mazda Corporate. They responded quickly and said they would contact Pinnacle Mazda and discuss the poor service and would have the dealership management contact me.

3 months later and no response. I will never return to that dealership because of the absolutely horrible customer service. Service manager has zero people skills. I will never recommend anyone do any business at this dealership. There are many Mazda dealerships around the Puget Sound.

I like my car. If there is a documented and acknowledged problem on a 03 model year, and the 04 model year has the same problem, I don't think they have properly adressed the problem. I thought Mazda was upgrading it's products, but I guess they still are second tier behind Honda, Toyota, and Nissan.

I have never been so mad after an interaction with any employee of any business.
