I am a ex-employee that worked for Plains Chevrolet for about two years. In those two years they told you to lie to customers and to close them on payments, if you could get a customers to close on payments they would never know what they where giving for the car they where buying.

In those payments they did not know that they had ETCH- Extended warranty- Theft Protection Plan- Gap Insurance- Credit Life & Disability. So when they went into the F & I office the F&I Manager tried to sell all of these products again, and every product they got to except some of these products they doubled there profits.

Now here is the bad part when you left without a contract they went to work falsifing your credit app- your income- Your job time- falsifing the equipment on the car you bought so the banks would loan more money. So two to three weeks later when you recieved your contract in the mail you found out you gave more money for the car you purchased and had alot of products you did not agree to purchase, so when you went back to the dealership and told them that you did not purchase these products they would say is this your signiture and you said yes, they would tell you to leave there dealership.

Some people would tell the dealership that they where going to get an attorney and they would say go ahead. they would not do anything unless an attorney contacted them. But most people will not even try to get an attorney because it is hard to try to even get an attorney to look at your case.

So here is some advice, look over all paperwork before you sign anything. At all times you ask what you are giving for the car you are buying. Make them write on your deal sheet what you are giving for the car you are buying and ask if there are any hidden costs in the payment that they have quoted. DO NOT sign anything blank. This is all i have this time but i will be giving you more tips later on.

HECTOR OR IS IT EDDY OR IS IT ROD OR LANCE

AUTHOR: GEORGE - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 26, 2006

OH HECTOR ! THIS COULD ONLY BE ONE OF THREE PEOPLE THAT ARE CROOKED ENOUGH TO STILL WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. LET ME GIVE YOU A RUN DOWN. EDDY CUNTLEY WAS CITY MANAGER AND GM FOR AUTONATIONS AND WAS BUSTED DOWN BECAUSE OF THE HEAT AND EXPOSER FOR PRACTICING DISHONEST PRACTICES BUT DID NOT STOP HIM FROM STILL PRACTICING DISHONESTLY. ROD BECKNER WAS THE SUCKUP TO EDDY AND REPORTED EVERYTHING TO EDDY AND MADE UP STUFF AS HE WENT, SO HE WOULD BE REWARDED WITH CAR DEAL OR HOUSE DEALS. ROD WE WERE FULLY AWARE OF WHAT YOU WERE DOING AND YOU WILL BE SERVED. LANCE MESSER IS A WANT-A-BE DEPARTMENT HEAD BUT WAS d**n GOOD AT PRODUCING FORGED DOCUMENTS AND LYING TO LENDERS TO GET DEALS FINANCED THAT I UNDERSTAND THAT HE IS NOW DEPARTMENT HEAD.

SO HECTOR OR WHO EVER YOU ARE ITS TIME TO STEP UP AND TELL THE TRUTH. PLAINS - WESTGATE - MIDWAY CHEVROLET AND QUALITY NISSAN BASE ALL THERE BUSINESS PRACTICES ON FRAUD AND DISHONESTY. THE ONLY THING THEY DO HONEST IS UNLOCK THERE DOORS EVERYDAY AND WAIT FOR THERE NEXT VICTIM.

THIS IS NOT A VENDETTA BUT TO EXPOSE YOU AND EVERYONE THAT BASES THERE BUSINESS ON FRAUD AND DECEPTION. HOW DO YOU LIVE WITH YOURSELFS NOING THAT YOU JUST RUINED SOMEONES LIFE AND CREDIT.
I WILL PROMISE YOU THIS JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED.

George isn't telling the whole truth

AUTHOR: Hector - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 26, 2006

The real reason why George and about 6 others quit Plains Chevrolet is because they had lowered the Commission for the salespeople. So they all got together and threating that they all would quit if they didn't get the pay changed back. Well it didn't work and they all got fired. So now he is on a vendetta to try and ruin the name of Plains Chevrolet. How do I know this? Cause I was there.

Golden Rule

AUTHOR: Bob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 01, 2005

Here is the Golden Rule when financing your car:

They are required to have you sign a Truth In Lending document with a "Fed box" that lists the interest, the amount of the car, the amount of the finance charge and the total amount you are going to be liable for.

MAKE ABSOLUTLY SURE YOU GET A COPY OF THAT SPECIFIC DOCUMENT. A lot of car dealerships will tell you that you don't get a copy, but when you sign, if you read it, you are acknowleding that you did in fact receive it.

Next, the Silver Rule:

On the Bill of Sale, make sure you read every single line and if you don't agree, make them change it. They will come up with all kinds of excuses as to why they can't change it, but don't give in. Threaten to walk out on the deal and see how fast they change it.

Next, the Diamond Rule:

Never, Never, Never leave without a contract in your possession from whom ever you are going to finance with. If they tell you something along the lines of "We'll take care of it" and they can't get you financed, they will make you bring the car back and charge you for using it.

---OR---

They will find some loan shark who charges 20% or more interest and the payments go from the advertised $299.00 per month to $499.00 per month.

Hold Checks and Targets

AUTHOR: Tiffany - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 01, 2005

I am a former resident of Amarillo. This is not a new problem. I was screwed by Westgate in 1994. Here are some other tactics they use
1. Ask you for a hold check for a down payment-This is big around tax refund time. They will even have you fill out a "Post Dated Check Form". This is a bogus form that is inadmissable in a court of law. When you do give them a hold check, they will try and cash it early to be sure and get the sale in on time.If the check bounces, they try and get ridiculous NSF charges or threaten to reposess the car if it is not paid.(Which they cannot do)Westgate attempted to file charges with the DA but they were thrown out of court. Apparently they had screwed the judge as well.
2. Don't be a target. They look for young single women. I was a prime target. After they had me sign several blank contracts (I had never bought a new car and was assured this was standard practice), they let me take the car. After a week of driving the car, I still had not received a copy of my contract. I called the finance manager and she told me to come by and get one. When I read the contract I was in tears. The payments they had quoted me had gone up $150.00 and my 72 hour period was over. She told me my options were to refinance or give back the car.
This all happened so long ago, I had blocked it out.Reading this web posting made me realize that they will never change!

Micheal - Barnegat, New Jersey

AUTHOR: GEORGE - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 23, 2005

Michael

It sounds to me that you are in the car business and you are saying that this was going on in the 80's and the 90's. So it sounds to me you use to participate yourself in these activities and what did you do to stop them. Yes I am guilty of having to support my family and gather information to bring these people down.

You also know that after a customer has gained trust in his or her sales person they don't even think about what the F&I Crooks are fixing to do to them. A good F&I crook can get a person to sign any document with out disclosing what they are signing. Most people by the time they get into the F&I office are ready to get everything done and want to go home. They really don't think that those guy's in the F&I would do something like this but are they wrong. How many people have you seen take a calculater in to the F&I office.

So it sounds to me that you did have the guts to stand up to those people. Atleast i have the guts to try to do what is right

Remember this little saying, " If a car dealer has SMALL PRINT the buyer will GET BENT!

AUTHOR: Stick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 23, 2005

George I want to take this time to thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's hard to find people that are willing to tell what they know about rip Offs where they work.

I feel that it is my job to do rebuttals on auto dealer Rip Off Reports even with my broken arm.

George have a few questions for you.

1. Does this dealer want new car sales people to give the sales managers a "Heads Up" on car new car buyers that might fill out the CSI survey in a poor fashion?

2. If they feel that a new car buyer might fill out the CSI survey in a poor fashion, do you know if they make sure that false contact info like addresses and home and work phone numbers are written in on the RDR cards before they send them to General Motors? It's Called CSI Diversion. Many car dealers feel no CSI from an unhappy car buyer is much better then a bad CSI.

3. In their sales meetings do they grind all of their sales people to TAKE CONTROL of all UP's?

4. Do they tell all sales people to not let the car buyers fill out the credit applications?

5. If true information is replaced with false information on a car Buyer's credit application before they send them to banks for a loan approval who inserts the false info, the F&I clowns or the Desk Jerks?

6. Have they been known to fire a "Shot Gun" to most of their car buyers even it the buyers have high credit scores?

7. If a car buyer has a high credit score do they try to make the buyer think that their credit is still not good enough for the much lower rates?

8. Who or which "HOT DOG' is it that runs around telling the F&I Clowns to make sure that the car buyers leave without a copy of the blank contracts that they have the buyers sign? I can see why they would not want car buyers to have a copy of the blank contacts in hand! Can we all say FRAUD? I hope so.

9. When your "DESK JERKS" were desking the deals would they not let you as a car salesman see the computer screen, like maybe they were hiding the real numbers from their sales staff?

10. Do you think that they might be floating frontend gross to the back so they could hand out much smaller pay vouchers?

11. What is their biggest form of advertising, Radio TV or newspaper? Can you post the names of the radio stations and TV stations that this car dealer advertises with?

12. As I would, would you advise anybody that has bought a car from this car dealer to contact their auto loan company and request a copy of the credit application that the loan company received from this car dealer?

13. You think that this car dealer might be involved in "BANKING FRAUD"?

14. Have you known them to drop many of their car buyers in "Spot Deliveries, only to yank the buyers back in a few weeks to bend them over and go deeper in a new fraudulent contract that is not filled out all the way?

15. do all of their "F&I Clowns" make sure that car buyers do not get copies of everything they sign?

16. Have you ever known them to have a car buyer sign many different contracts at the same time?

17. Have you ever known them to kick a car buyers trade out of a deal and never tell the buyer until they find a lender that will hang the paper? Only then they will inform the buyer that they still need to make the payments on the car that they car buyer thought they were trading in.

I8. Is there anyway that you can send the Editor of this web site a good photo of this car dealer? If so just tell him that your photo is for Report number 139957.

19. If you still work there can you get some names and numbers of people that have bought from this car dealer and make sure they get to read this Rip Off Report?

20. Do they have some special trainers in the auto industry come in and program the sales people on how to increase the dealer's profits, and is so can you post the names or the "Special Trainers"?

Right now I feel that this is the right time to tell all Americans if you want to fight the prices of gas, STAY far away from any car dealer.

When you go to any car dealer and buy a newer car you are telling the big fat oil companies that you don't care about the price of gas.

If all auto makers had to shut down the assembly lines because nobody is buying new cars the auto industry would pay their over paid lobbyist to go to DC and tell those f**kers to get off of their over paid fat asses and do something about the price of gas.

Remember, car manufactures did not start offering 0% on car loansfor up to 60 months until after 9/11 and their assembly lines took a big s**t!

Maybe it's high time that the auto maker's assembly lines took a second big s**t until the price of gas goes way back down. Let's face it if you go to a car dealer and try to buyer a car I am willing to bet that your payments would go up!

So s**t can the newer car and the higher payment and save the money for your current gas tank.

If the auto makers assembly lines come to a COMPLETE STOP for a long period of time and they know that it's because of gas prices they will send their lazy lobbyist to D.C. and make them kick a*s and take names.

George thanks for posting your Rip Off Report. All you car buyers out there remember that if you see small print in a car dealer's advertisment on TV on in a newspaper remember this short and sweet saying.

Buyer will get BENT if there is small PRINT!

Who loves YA BABY, your car dealer or ripoffreport.com?

You're just as guilty as the dealership

AUTHOR: Michael - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 23, 2005

George unless you handed back your commision on those deals of yours where this happened, you're just as guilty as the dealership. By continuing your employment at this place while you knew all this was going on, you were giving it your approval. This is the sort of nonsense which used to go on back in the 80's and early 90's, and I can't believe it's still going on in some places.

Here's the easiest way to make sure you're not taken for a ride on the payment close- if the salesperson tells you it's $300.00 per month, ask what the term this is based on. If they tell you it's based on 60 months, that's $18,000.00 over the term. If you're looking at a $8,000.00 car, there's something wrong and you'd best ask for the terms to be broken down for you.

The payment often IS the most important thing to most customers, so it's still something which is going to have to be discussed when a vehicle is being purchased. The way to avoid being scammed with a payment close is to ask to see how the numbers are broken down - and REMEMBER, extended warranties, gap insurance, life and disability insurance, window etching and the like are NEVER required by a bank to obtain financing. If you don't want the product or see a value in it, just ask for it to be removed from the loan. If they refuse to remove them, just leave. Plain and simple.
