p.o.e.t animal rescue lead us on about adopting a pet. never said we were aproved or deniided and are supose to be on first come first bases. They make it ound like you got the pet then lead yo along for 3 weeks not saying yes or no while the entertain other applicants. to this day we have not been told yes or no ohio Michigan

We decided to make a dog part of our family.  We found a wonderful cute dog at poet animal rescue. We filled out our application on a late thursday night. The next day we received an email that our vet checked out great. They needed us to send pics of our house yard and other pets we have.  They also asked how would we be able to pick her up, because we live a couple hours away.  We responed that we would be in that area to visit family the next weekend.  Everything sounds great at this point.  Then they never responed back to us. We emailed them again that we are in the area, please let us know where we could meet them with the dog.  They responded back that they had another home visit to do with a family the next day. We didn't understand why they were taking more applications for her and doing home visits. They told us they would let us know how that home visit went.  We asked them to keep us in the loop and we would be able to drive to get her anytime. They never let us know how the home visit went, like they said they would.  We heard nothing again for a week.  We emailed them several times that we still want her. At first we thought for sure we would be able to adopt her.  Their agency covers Michigan and Ohio. Three weeks after our application, we were told they were trying to adopt her to a family that lived closer.  If they would have been up front in the beginning, like thank you for applying, but we have several applicants for ths dog.  That would show their honesty. They don't follow their own mission statement. They need to be upfront an honest with people.  The dog Is still posted on their website as available.  The way they go about adopting animals is miss leading and hurts several families.
