Powertek - Skytekusa Rebate Rip-off, scam, liers, Never trust this company Pasadena California

This company promised an $80 rebate on thier powertek eviltek computer case. They said to allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of the rebate check. They gave a bogus email address, so whenever we try to email them about our rebate all we get is a mailer-deamon failure notice. They don't give any address, phone number, or valid email address for their company. So we had no way to even contact the company about our rebate. After more than 12 weeks and a lot of emails to newegg (the seller of powertek products) we still didn't get our rebate check. We found out later that the company was going through bankruptcy in June 2008, the same time that they had offered the $80 rebate. They should not have offered such a rebate when they knew that they were having financial troubles. Maybe they offered the rebate knowing full well that they were not going to fulfill the rebates just to get people to buy their products. This company is totally dishonest. Skytekusa has since taken over the company. My mother also bought one of the powertek eviltek computer cases, and after more than 12 weeks and lots of emails she only got a measley $30 check from skytekusa instead of the $80 that they promised.

There is a pattern with PowerTek, not only on this rebate, but that they have a history of refusing rebates on other promotions as well.

They come up with some creative excuses for not honoring a rebate.
