PREMIER RECOVERY SERVICES 5 years later I get a call - the amount owed almost double the original amount - I've had the same phone number for 10+ years and they never contacted me! Sandy Utah

I have a perfect record, I have paid off all bills and student loans, and five years after the fact, I get a call from Premier Recover Services saying that I owe money. The amount of which is nearly double the original cost. I have had the same phone number for 10+ years and this is the first time they contact me. It is illegal to hold a bill and rack up fees when you're able to contact someone. I have never avoided a bill in my life and would have paid it off immediately back in 2011. Instead I now *supposedly* owe nearly double the original amount.

I spoke with them on the phone making it clear I would only pay the original amount. There was some resistance but I held firm. We then agreed (at her suggestion) that she would call me BEFORE charging my card for the amount (I want to make sure they don't try to charge me for the interest as well). But today I look in my account and see that they charged me (without a phone call - I was waiting for it).

This whole situation is ridiculous. I have never avoided a bill and refuse to pay for something I did not know existed until this last month. The whole thing seems fishy but apparently the company is "legit" which is why I'm filing this rip off report.
