Quality Consumer Research false company address and a check for $2980.00...it's a scam!!! Hawthorne California

"Congratulations!! I'm pleased to inform you that you've been randomly selected from a job search database...please call 1-888-832-1124... pay remains at $200.00 per assignment...sincerely, Lisa Barrett, account rep."

The company is supposedly based out of 3912 West Street Hawthorne, CA 90248. However, no such address exists. Furthermore, Hawthorne's zip is 90250 or 90251. The listed zip is actually for the city of Gardena of L.A. county.

The area code (213) listed for the company's (land line) phone number is not in Hawthorne, but in the city of L.A. Hawthorne's area code is really 310.

Furthermore, the letter was posted marked out of Canada with no mailer address.

The letter tells you to call 1-888-832-1124 to validate the check, receive assignment, and money gram back $2710.

Woodforest National Bank(listed on the check), a legitimate bank out of The Woodlands, Texas offers a toll-free check verification line 888-247-4204. Not surprisingly, they report the check as "UNVERIFIABLE."

Beware and Please see report #'s 419625 & 422747 for similar, recent likely scams from the same possibly pseudo-company "Quality Consumer Research."
