Dan just wanted to refiance our home loan. He contacted Quicken loans sometime around March 1, 2010. He was told the whole process will take about 30 days (start to finish) Here were are 60 days later and still NO closer to when we first started in March. I have NEVER been through so much "baloney". We provided bank statements, taxes forms(1040) Credit card statements etc.. and when we think we are just about there, Quicken loans comes back with "something is wrong with the IRS" it turns out Quicken Loans misspelled Daniel last name (off by one letter). We were told by the "Client Care Specialist" that another 4506 -T (form) was needed, she assured us that it would be done ASAP. The next day I still had rec'd nothing. I got on line & found the website where I completed a 4506-T , had it signed and faxed it to the Care Specialist . I e-mailed our Lender Rep and the Care Specialist informing them of the newly signed 1045-T. I also told them that we (as customers) are still waiting patiently for their reply. Two weeks later people, two weeks.... Quicken loans replies back with we need from you: Proof that you paid off (in full) the American Express acct. ($736.00) and we want to the bank statement (from the branch) verifing the $736.00 clearence. Quicken Loans also wants a ZERO balance on the American Express Account. Quicken loans also wants 'everysheet from the Income taxes from two years, and in addition to all that Quicken loans wants proof that we have $6,800.00 in reserves at our disposal!! People... don't get stuck with such B.S. Please e-mail, tell, advise, and talk with all your family and friends that No amount of money saved with worth going through Quicken Loans. Dan and I put our "Good faith" deposit down, I have come to find out that "good faith" means YOUR good faith to jump thru hoops, run around, waiting anxiously for thier reply to which there will be no end to. Don't be so native. I wish I would have done my reseach. Dan was jst too trusting with some people. But ......."You have been warned".

Quicken Loan Update!
AUTHOR: Roxy - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Friday, June 04, 2010
Today, June 4, 2010 I rec'd a call from the Quicken Loan Care Specialist. It looks like they rec'd all the information needed to approve the loan. I didn't fax them "exactly" what they requested... it would be impossible to provide a bank statement I haven't rec'd just yet. However, I did provided them a print out from my bank showing the American Express account paid and cleared and everything, or close to everything they requested.
We close on Tuesday June 8, 2010. I was told somebody will meet with us to sign the "closing paperwork" and my next mortgage payment will be August 2010. We'll see.
I'll keep you all posted thru this process.

Hi. I'm Kelly with Quicken Loans. I'm unfamiliar with your particular loan, but if you can get in touch with me directly, I'd be happy to answer any questions for you: Kelly@QuickenLoans.com
With regards to the deposit - we never charge it until you sign your application, agreeing to and authorizing the deposit. If you need to reference it in your application, it is on the document entitled "Interest Rate Disclosure & Deposit Agreement." It is also explained on our website: https://www.quickenloans.com/about/quicken-loans-deposit and in a YouTube video we did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNumQBaCWMM It should be completely clear how it works. If you close your loan, it is completely credited against your closing costs. If you are denied, we refund any money not already spent on your behalf. If we deny your loan, we keep nothing.
We typically close loans in half the time of our competitors. So while it may seem like a difficult or long process, most of the requirements we need to meet are standard guidelines and would be the same anywhere else. Things have changed dramatically in the last few years and occasionally we will need supporting documentation to make sure we get our clients the best loan possible. Even with all the new regulations, we have a highly automated and online process to make things go as quickly as possible.
Again, please get in touch with me so I can try to help - Kelly@QuickenLoans.com
Thanks,
Kelly
