Ramada Plaza Resort - Imperial Majesty Cruise I got hooked but was able to get a refund! Fr Lauderdale Florida

I was planning to give my family a wonderful holiday, so when I got this offer from RPL/Imperial Majesty Cruise, I thought what a great timing. So I called their number and was into the package. 8 days and 7 nights cruise and stay in their resort, with car rental free, foods free, for $798.00. My husband is free, my girls will have to pay $199 each if they come with us. They made me talk to several people and listen to such long narrative of this wonderful vacation package at the end of which they solicited my voice to say I AGREE. To which I said I Agree.

Later on did I know that this I Agree phrase from people is referred to as agreeing to the clause that this registration with the company is non-refundable after 3 days. They inserted this phrase into such a long narrative that I did not even hear it at all.

Later on did I do my homework of investigating about this company and whoa!!! I got a report from Better Business Bureau of Florida, that this company has an F rating, meaning failure due to unscrupulous business deals/unsatisfactory handling of complaints. And to my nightmare, I saw this site of people's complaints, experiences with the said company Imperial Majesty, I was so down, what have I done, I did cry especially when I could not get hold of the company to cancel my registration.

So I called my credit card company and they said they could not reverse the charge because I have this recorded voice message that the company saved which said I agreed that after 3 days, this is non-refundable. So I called RPL/Imperial Majesty Cruise and just got so frustrated because I could not get hold of anybody who could help me. I spent an entire day on the phone getting hang up on, getting a dead line, waiting on line for up to 30 minutes for somebody to answer. But I did not give up. I kept calling them.

Finally on my last call, somebody answered me and said they will refund me only $499 because the rest is for deposit should I later on go with the vacation. I was calm but firm and said I want my full money refunded. She made me wait again and later on she said I will get my full money back and gave me a cancellation number. So I said I will relay this information to my credit card company and I will wait for the charges to get refunded. She asked If I was satisfied with my call that day and my answer was I will wait until I get my money back.

And I have the money refunded after 9 days. I just want to tell this story to all of you out there to persevere with you calls to the company. Don't give up. Get your money back and we learn the lesson that any offer that is too good to be true, is not to be taken, and never give credit card info on the phone especially if you haven't done your homework of looking up that company on the web.
