RCA Electronics RCA Warranty and customer service is a Joke! ripoff Matthews North Carolina Internet

We bought a TV. We used in a room where watching TV was a very rare event. Eight months later the picture tube went. We called RCA and they gave us the number of an "authorized company" to do the repair. $ 75 later, we were told that the picture tube went (LIKE WE DIDNT KNOW THAT ALREADY!) and to fix it, it was another $250. We called RCA and told them to send us the part (which was still under warranty) and we would have somebody install it for us.

Five months, several hours on the phone, countless calls and at least 8 CSR's later, we are still waiting for ANYTHING! We were told in two ocassions that they were going to send the part to us, but nothing! Is this how they conduct their business?
