*Consumer Comment: How to use the RCI timeshare exchange system
*Consumer Suggestion: Are you serious?
ERIN RADER,A RCI EXEC,HAS NOT RESPONDED IN OVER 2 WEEKS WHY RCI HAS NOT ADDRESSED SERIOUS CRIMES FOR 8 MONTHS. SHE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IN RCI HAS BEEN ORDERED BY SOMEONE NOT TO RESPOND. THIS IS OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE.RCI HAD ILLEGAL PEOPLE RENTING MY PROPERTY 8 MONTHS AGO AND HAS FAILED TO RESPOND IN 8 MONTHS.THEIR ARE ALSO MANY OTHER CRIMES,SUCH AS POINTS PARTNERS CHARGING TOO MANY POINTS FOR A WEEK IN ISTANBUL. THERE WAS ALSO CASE OF WEEK TRANSFERRED BY WYNDHAM TO RCI WHICH DISAPPEARED. ALL THIS CAN BE DONE BECAUSE RCI KEEPS CRITICAL INFO FROM MEMBERS. I HAVE WRITTEN TO GEOFF BALLOTTI,CEO OF RCI, TO TRY AND GET ANSWERS.

How to use the RCI timeshare exchange system

Despite RCI is one of the biggest timeshare exchange companies in the world, you still have to be very careful before exchanging your week, as there are many things that could go wrong during the process. Take into consideration that you have to book the resort as soon as possible, sometimes even up to two years in advance, which can be a problem for some families. Also, you must know that a membership fee needs to be paid, whether you exchange your timeshare or not

Are you serious?

I work for a timeshare association and I always say that 90% of people who own timeshare are complete morons because they sign a contract or deed not knowing what they are getting themselves into. You prove my point. First, RCI does not "rent" out units. Owners deposit their weeks with RCI into a spacebank with RCI in which the owner can stay at any of RCI's affiliated resorts. If an owner is in RCI points then RCI automatically takes a unit from an owner but gives them x amount of points unless the owner notifies RCI that he would like to use a their unit. It sounds like you are one of the 90% who does not know how to use timeshare or how RCI works. I suggest giving or selling your timeshare to someone who is less stupid than you you idiot!
