My husband recived this letter today in the mail

FROM: THE DESK OF MANAGING DIRECTOR OF PRIZE AWARD DEPARTMENT "WITHOUT PREJUDICE"

This is to inform you of the relase of the READER'S DIGEST LOTTO draw held on April 7th, 2009.

Among the 126 participating finalist playing 6000 full tickets in the fifth series, from a pool of Fifty Million Dollars ($50,000,000.00) in cash, your ticket number 26840-57 drew the lucky numbers 16-23-36-39-41, which won the prize in the category. Therefore, your number has been approved for a lump sum payout of Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars($850,000) in cash credited to a file reference number RD645/5/09

Our credit department has recently notified us that over the past three months, there was no winner form submitted due to failed efforts to communicate with you or the agenct taking care of your tickets. You are hereby advised to keep this award confidential until your claim has been confirmed and price remitted to you, this is part of our security protocol to avoid double claiming or unwarranted taking advantage of the situation by participants. This notice is time sensitive and non-compliance could result to disqualification by which unclaimed funds are returned to the unclaimed department.

Since we do not deal directly with the public, to begin your claim, this notice has been forwarded to you from one of our licensed and bonded North American Agency and a copy would be send to the insurance company. The check enclosed is part of your win, but yet to be activated. Your are required to contact KAREN WRIGHT at 1-877-216-7191 or 1-778-889-9480 to activate your claim before you deposit the check in your bank: this is very important.

Prize Disbursement.

After looking this info up online, was reading one post on here and the letter was verbatim of mine. The prize amount was different but the reference number, ticket number and "lucky numbers" were the same.

The check is from the company called Nexans Energy USA Inc.

Is a legitimate company and I'm calling them in the AM. The address on the check for this company is 25 Oakland Ave. Chester, NY 10918. On the Company Web site it's 15 Oakland Ave. Chester, NY 10918. I wonder if some of these companies even know what's going on.

I really wish some people would quit preying on folks and go get a job and quit being stupid.

Thanks for your time.
