They send a check for $5,125.00 for "outstanding fees" (looks real) and state my father has won 1,000,000 USD. (my father believes this) But before you deposit the check you have to call Mr ROBERT THORNHILL @ 1-866-2321 EXT 1
It also states " you are obligated by US Federal law to keep the PRIZE CLAIM NUMBER and prize information Highly confidential for your safety and security. signed Roger St-Louis.
Well we have been through this before, and they want you to send money to release the prize. Well we almost lost $4,000 last time in same type of SCAM
This disgusts me and is there any way to stop this? I don't have the envelope it came in and by the time I got this the phone # was disconnected.
We receive this kind of junk mail-lottery/sweepstake junk every day. I call it a form of elder abuse. I wonder how many other retired people have been caught up in these rip-offs
