October 6, 2006 I was in an accident. The police faulted me for it. Well! I never wanted it to be fixed at this body shop. I wanted my towing bill paid to move it. Since I do pay for it every month. My agent has did nothing for me. So my husband and I went to the body shop to see why its taking 20 days to repair the truck. My husband got mad and yelled at the lady. They are refusing to realse my truck. My insurace is paying the $500 that I got from my loss of use.
I dont get how a company can take your money and not help you. My husband then yelled at Rhonda for not helping us. She wanted my husband to write a "Im sorry" letter to the body shop. Well! He did and she never wanted to help us. Im under enough stress that I can't take anymore. I've been with Farmers for 8 years. Ever since I was able to drive.
Now I see why my dad changed from Farmers of 35 years to another company. I can't stand to pay something and never get help. I know my husband should have stayed cool, but they should have done something to help us. I have decided to go to another agent. Rhonda told my husband he was a jerk and that we would find anybody else to take us. I had 1 accident. I think I can find somebody. She has no respect for us. We are a client. My mother in law works for us, so treat us like a client, not your friend.

First of all I was not taken care of by Farmers or Fox. Farmers didnt fight for me when I was in this wreck. The guy that hit me was not insured or have a license. Since then I have left and have a company that WORKS for me. I did as Farmers told me to do. Call the other repair shop and have them come and tow it. I then called Fox and they said I had to pay the towing fee. Which every month I pay for. So if Farmers wasnt going to help me I had no choice, but to have it fixed at Fox.
As to my husband he was on fire, because of what was happening. It took 20 days to fix my truck. Then I was charged over my 500. For a stock shock. I went to Chevy before I went to Fox the amount was the same. I paid 514. I had enough insurance. Farmers got away with that. Then to top it off my truck would keep dying on me as I drove it. I then called Farmers and they said that I would have to prove that it was in an accident. I told my mother in law the first day it happened. Once again my agent didnt work for me. They want your money, but they dont want to help you. Then they filing a claim against my husband was wrong. I know I will never go back to Farmers again. I was with them for 8 years. My dad left after 30 some years. So check around before you get insurance with anybody.

OK, besides the fact that this article displays poor spelling and is obviously written from a woman's point of view but signed by a man, this report hardly covers the details of what actually happened in this claim. First of all the claimant is the son of the agent's secretary and he has a reputation for being a hot head any way. When the claimant was in a wreck they had it towed to a body shop they mentioned they did not want to have it fixed at. We informed them they needed to have the wrecker from the shop they did want to fix it come pick it up. THey chose not to do so, and when they were called on to authorize the repairs, the wife clearly signed the papers authorizing Fox Collision to repair the vehicle. Whether or not the insured understood what she was signing is between her, her husband and Fox, but we had nothing to do with their decision.
Fox fixed the car and our agency even got them extra money that was not used for the rental car released to help the claimant with the deductible. I was in the office the day the claimant barged in, made a huge yelling scene in front of another customer and caused his own mother to well up with tears. He was asked to leave Fox Collision for the same type of display. There was an official report filed by Fox and Farmers warning the companies about Fred. Clearly the loss of temper made the situation even more difficult and we were reduced to asking the insured to write an apology letter to Fox so they would release the vehicle before the total amount of the deductible was paid.
The claimant once again barged into the office with a letter that he admitted was not written by him and was typed rather than hand written like we had requested. The agent decided not to go out on a limb with Fox after the second display in the office and told the claimant she was trying to help him before, but would not go out of her way any longer since he was content to drag names into the argument that caused our agency harm. I have never witnessed a more immature response to a difficult situation, and at one time I felt I would have to call the police to have the claimant removed from my office. The claimant would do himself/herself good to learn that displaying a temper doesn't move people to help you. Thank you for considering the other side of the story.
