Ricart Automotive Ricart Ford Ricart Ford Will Not Honor Sales Reps Quote columbus Ohio

 Ricart Ford was suggested through truecar.com , a price certificate was issued and an email sent to Ryan Goodson stating what I was willing to pay for a new Ford Focus. Ryan forwarded me to Nicholas Sills .Nicholas' manager had a sales rep named Frank (no last name ) call me .

During the phone conversation with Frank he quoted an email I had sent Showing a breakdown of what I was willing to pay . Frank assured me the price was settled . He even guaranteed me several times of this as I explained I had previously tried to buy from Ricart in the past only to have the price changed when I went to sign papers . Frank even went so far as taking all my credit information assuring me he would call later with final terms on the loan . Vehicle was guaranteed out the door for $15,194 and I was putting $5500 down .

No return call from Frank was received on Wednesday. On Thursday I called Ricart to find out final terms and set a time to come sign papers . Conveniently it was Frank's day off . I spoke with his manager Craig Miller about the deal and was told he would call me back . When he did call back he stated Frank had no right to quote a price and there was no proof of it in emails , only my breakdown of where I showed what I was willing to pay. Craig stated if Frank had quoted a price it was because he had seen it in my email . I explained Frank had assured me at least 4 times this was the out the door price they could do besides why would he have my credit info from me if he hadn't said this .

Craig Miller stated the only Focus they had on the lot would cost $16,900 out the door . $1,700 higher than the price I was guaranteed . I asked Craig if he was refusing to honor his sales reps quote , he again stated the only proof of that price was my email stating what I would pay .

Beware!!!! Ricart Ford has done this several times in the past . At least this time I didnt waste an hour to drive there , be told the price had changed and an hour back .
