Robert Half International - Robert Half Resources - Robert Half Management Resources falsely represented that there were job openings available in my field. Hartford Connecticut

I applied for a consulting job that Robert Half Management Resources had posted on Careerbuilder.com. I received a telephone call from a Kelly Marquart at Robert Half stating that she would like to make an appointment with me two weeks out for an interview. I told her that I was interested in the specific job posted on Careerbuilder. She stated that the job had been filled but that other job postings would be coming on soon. This job had just been posted on Careerbuilder on a Friday and she called me the following Monday. I asked her if the job that was posted was in fact a bogus job to entice people to apply and thereby allow Robert Half to make "sales calls" and maintain a ready database. She became agitated by my comment and hung up on me.

I was not surprised by this incident. This has happened to me before with Robert Half. This organization is notorious for doing a modified "bait and switch" routine. There is very little one can do about it other than to be aware this is going on with them. This behavior exists in all aspects of Robert Half's divsions; permanent placement, accountemps, and Management Resources. And it is not just in CT either. This is a nationwide ethical lapse on their part.

So be aware this goes on with them.
