I was in the maket for a pre-owned Rolex and found Rolex24h.com. They had prices that were so low I knew this had to be a scam. The company had a very real looking web site, one of the best I've seen and gave an address in LA California. No phone numbers were listed and only a E-Mail that could be directed to the Sales Manager. I started my E-mails on Jan 22, 09 an there was no reply. I sent another one on 01-25-09 and again no reply. I believe the reason that they didn't reply was the fact I said I wanted to visit there store to view the watch. Of course they couldn't allow this because they didn't have a real store. My next E-mail was directed on 02-01-09 and again on 02-07-09 and this time I told them I wanted to wire them some money for several watches.
Well you guessed it they replied and now wanted to do business. When I went to their web site they changed their store address to 777 N/W 72nd ave Miami Fla 33126 this being the merchandice mart. They had the same watches for sale and again didn't list any phone number. I could go on and on about this scam but won't. I advised them that I wanted to purchase 4 watches for about $ 29k and they were very fast to reply and provide me with an account number and routing number so I could wire cash.
Doing some research I came across several people that had been ripped off by this company and had wired cash and never received their watche(s). Of course these people didn't do their homework. I further determined that all of the display web site pictures of the watches that were for sale had been used from another Rolex dealer, the same exact pictures. So in other words they copied the pics and changed the prices to very low price and posted them on their web site as watches that they had for sale, but of course didn't really have.
I continued to E-Mail them with them believing I wanted to purchase $29K of watches. I told them I wanted to visit them in Miami and pay cash for the watches and they told me they would not take cash and only a wire transfer of funds would be the way they could do business. ( Of course I had no intention of buying anything) I even asked them in one of the E-Mails if the watches that were on the their web site were in fact the watches that they had for sale to which they said yes!!!!
I further contacted the Rolex company in which the pictures had been stolen and used and was advised that they were aware of this situation. I confronted Rolex24h.com ( Scam Company ) with the fact I was aware that the pictures were in fact stolen from another web site and wanted them to respond. They not only did not respond they shut the entire web site down within 2 minutes after my last E-Mail, it's no longer available . I hope I helped others from being ripped off, I hope maybe some FBI agent or investiagtor interested in this will contact me for a lot of other information that I didn't post here !!
