Round Rock Imaging Radiology possible scam or fruad IInternet

We called Round Rock Imaging several times to verify their statement that our insurance company would be covering 100% of the costs of our MRI. Each time they said something to the effect of you have nothing to worry about, everything is covered. So after being repeatedly assured we would have no charges we agreed to have one MRI done.

They knew that if there were charges we would not have done the procedure as we did not have the funds to pay for it. They also knew the patient would be drugged during the procedure so they could tolerate the confined space. I guess they have done this before after the patient completed the MRI they had the patient sign a bunch of forms, charged the credit card and had the sales slip signed. The patient remembers none of this as the patient was drugged up! One half of that day is a blank in the patients mind.

This is a breach of their verbal contract and borders on fraud and abuse. The patient
did not have the ability to give legal consent for the card to be charged, just like an Alzheimers patient or a minor would not have the legal ability to do so.

To make matters worse they did two MRIs and charged us for both! We never agreed to two!

They would not return calls or discuss the issue with us. They acted like they had the upper hand and are squeezing us for all they can get. Be very careful of this group if you patronize them. We will certainly never go back.
