Rusnak is a big auto dealer/group. They sell and service cars of several high-end European car manufacturers. The place looks very promising and professional, but dont me FOOLED by the looks and the promises.


I have a 2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS, and I found out the hard way when I took it in for service. My car had several problems. After careful examination by their mechanics and the shop foreman, these were the answers they gave me;


Problem 1: The brakes squeal for a few seconds when the car started to move. Answer: Cause of squealing is the use of tire dressing (armor-all).


If that was the case then 8 out of 10 cars in United States will be squealing. In order to even get the dressing onto the brakes you have to spray directly at the brakes, and even if you do, it will go away after several brake applications. Tire dressing will not withstand those temperatures. Not to mention that I dont even use a spray. I pour it onto a sponge and apply it carefully to the tire, and then wipe it off. The real reason is that the brake pads are faulty, and they dont want to admit to it, because they will have to replace them free of charge.


Problem 2: Service light is illuminated. I asked them to reset the service timer.


Answer: We will NOT reset it because we didnt do the oil change.


Basically, they are saying that I should take the car to them for a $310 oil change, where I can get the same oil change with a Porsche filter and Mobil1 oil, somewhere else for half the price. They blamed it on Porsche of North America (corporate office). When I spoke to Porsche of North America, they denied such claims. This is just their service department trying to make extra money by forcing you to take the car to them for an oil change.


Problem 3: Something is wrong with the complicated air suspension system of the car. The cars ride has gotten really soft and wobbly. Nothing like a Porsche. This happened over night, not through a period of time.


Answer: Theres nothing wrong with the car.


I asked them to drive it back to back with another Cayenne, so they will see the difference, because a person that doesnt know that car will not know the difference. They didnt do that and brushed me off.


Basically, they hired inexperienced mechanics that cant see past what the computer screen is telling them, crooked foremans, and lying service writers. They take advantage of a customer in every way they can. And if they cant figure out a problem, they either deny its existence or blame it on the customer. This is not the right way to conduct business.


I have seen several incidences with this dealership conducting unfair practices, scamming customers (that dont know much about cars), and getting away with it. This has to stop.
