I check my credit report on a yearly basis and every year I find the same crap from Sage Telecom on my credit report. I have written to the company several times, I have disputed their charges on my credit report and essentially have done everything the way that people tell you to in order to dispute things.

I admit that I had Sage Telecom several years ago, but my husband and I closed the account, PAID IN FULL (the account was late once or twice), almost 6 years ago.

I recieved a letter just today from National Credit Solutions stating that they had bought my "unpaid Sage Telecom account." I am so tired of disputing this bill over and over, but I honestly do not know what to do now except tell people NOT to use Sage Telecom at all.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

WRONG. NOT YOUR DEBT..DO NOT PAY

AUTHOR: Wyoguy - (U.S.A.)

We sued, won and made them cry all in 2 months time. I went to their center of operations. Found out through the local Sherriff's office that they like to lock the door when they suspect process servers and angry people coming. I had our process server show up as a UPS guy. LOL. I even travelled there and got through the door. They were a bunch of 18-22 year old kids running the place. I witnessed about 26 violations by listening to their agents on the phones and how they addressed me. We got them in court, had them pay restitution and fines to us and the courts, and made them remove all unfounded reports from the CRAs. Go get em. Smack back down. :-) DO NOT PAY FOR WHAT YOU DO NOT OWE OR NEVER DID!

dealing with NCS

AUTHOR: Bridget P. - (U.S.A.)

this problem looks like an error on behalf of Sage but if you are providing the proper proof that your account was paid in full and closed then you should have no problem closing the account. Did you send in the appropraite documents to Sage?

At this point file a dispute ( send it to NCS office) and attatch any documents or proof that your account was paid and therfor the debt is an error. If you have no proof then your only option might be to pay the debt simply because it is under your name and I would not want that on my credit.

What people don't undertsand is that NCS is willing to work with you. If sage has made a mistake and is being difficult that stinks but NCS will request for removal as soon as you A.) file a dispute ( and it is valid)
B.) pay the amount owed or agree to a payment plan
