On Nov.18, 2010 I saw an ad on Craig's List showing Sharp Aquos 52" LCD HDTV for sale for $358. Thinking it was a good deal. I sent them a Money Gram for $358. Then on Dec.1, 2010 they wanted an additional $180 due to that it was stuck in customs and needed the extra money to be able to ship it. Here's the detail of the e-mail from them.

How are you.Sorry to disturb you and waste your precious time.
We have gone to so much trouble to connect the officer ask your products. who is staying at home but i am very sorry, they told me a piece of bad news, because your item's price is lower china market 20% . According to the new regulation ,
They asked the amount for tax as 180 USD
Sorry because that is the new regulation .we could not know it early! please be considerate!
So you need to pay 180 USD  to clear custom as soon as possible .
We really have sent out the products for you but they are detained at the custom of China now.
I am very sorry for causing this problem. this is what we don't want to see .

because your product is detained at the port now, the tracking number can't work now.after you pay the tax, the custom department wil release the products to you .and you can get the tracking number . then you can track your goods by the tracking number . finally you can get your goods in three days .

please reply A.S.A.P.  as they ask you make payment for tax in 3 days .

So I sent the $180. A couple minutes after I sent it. I got a call from Money Gram saying that they were scam artist. So I got them to stop payment. I got my $180 back. I asked about the $358 I sent but it was too late to do anything about it. As of today Dec.17, 2010 I have heard from them or have received the TV.
