Salute/Compucredit corp I had fell behind due to hard times and medical reasons. I'm a disabled veteran. I thought they would work withe but instead my balance went crazy high. Honestly I just let it go, I had no money. down the road things started to get a little better I went over my credit report and started paying off all debts. to my surprise they reported themselves twice on my Experian credit report under two different accounts. Atlanta State/Province

How is the same account gets reported twice? I have a Salute/Compucredit corp account shows up credit report that I didn't pay it. There's no # to contact and they're out in Atlanta Georgia. But at some point they sold my account to another company called Midland Credit Management. Both companies show on my credit report "experian". Because it is the same account why hasn't the other company contacted salute. I paid the account off in full to MCM. Now credit report reflects one is paid and the other is mot. I'm not going to pay for the same account twice. What do I do? I already sent the credit bureausy proof of payment but they didn't correct issue. How can this company get away with this?. Someone please help. Thank you
