Salwa Kahl, Customer Service Representative Hertz Rental Unauthorized credit card charge Ann Arbor Michigan

I rented a car from Hertz from 11-17-08 to 12-17-09. It was due to an accident and my Insurance information, claim # and verification that charges were authorized was obtained from Citizens insurance by Salwa Kahl, the Herta Rental Agent. Our credit card was given to her only if there were any damages to the vehicle. The vehicle was returned, no damages, and She said everything was fine and she would contact us if there were any problems.

On 1-9-09 a charge appeard on my visa card for $592.48 by Hertz. I called the agent, Salwa to ask why she did this and she said she didn't, the insurance company charged it. I called my Agent who pointed out they didn't even have my credit card info and did not charge anything to my account. My agent confirmed the car rental charges were authorized to be paid by Citizens Insurance so he called Salwa at Hertz and she changed her lie.

Now she told him that she didn't have the claim #. He helped her recall that she did have the claim # and had requestd payment. She changed her lie again and said oh, she did have the claim # but it somehow got deleted from her computer so she decided to charge my Visa. She never contacted us to say she was doing this and she never presented a bill for the charges she placed on my card.

My agent asked her to reverse the unauthorized charges and she wouldn't saying that only Hertz could do that, yet another misrepresentation.

Her actions are illegal, violate credit card policies, and violate Hertz policies. She was very, very rude to our agent and to us. It appears as though she was trying to double bill for this rental.
