SBC and Cingular cell phone ripoff fraud business Los Angeles California

In December of 2002 I was offered by the new phone company SBC two free cellular phones through Cingular. I would receive two phones for free paying only shipping and handling. They also offered combined billing, where they would combine my telephone bill and cell phone bill all into one.

When I received my two phones the two calling plan I requested to be placed on the two different numbers was totally screwed up. On one phone number I requested a plan of 350 day/time and 1000 night/weekends, on the other phone 500 day/time and 3500 night/weekends.

When I received my phone I was under the impression that I had 500 day time minutes and 3500 nights. Their system was screwed up and they ended up charging me 650 minutes over usage which is 42 cents a minute totaling out to be 273.00 dollars. This amount was charged for two months.

When I realized there was a mistake made on my billing statement I called several times to fix it. I was tossed from one SBC customer rep to a Cingular rep. back and forth. I requested a supervisor and none were available except one time and still at that nothing was done.

Since I chose the combine bill option I was getting a phone bill for $1200 to $1300. It was very stressful. Even until this day the situation has not been completely settled. I was over charged and not helped at all.
