S.C.L.P. Store Detective Association, I almost fell for it... San Diego, California

Well, after reading many other posts regarding this "company", it's come to my attention that the very same thing people are posting about happened to me today.

I saw the Craigslist ad, called the number, got a recording explaining the directions, drove out there, filled out a TINY application form which asked for little more than my name and address, and spoke with a guy for about 5 minutes.

He never once asked me whether or not I had ever been convicted, or if I was able to pass a urinalysis, or even what some of my previous jobs had been. He even asked me what hours I would like to work! I have options! And he disdainfully pointed to the wall where a badge was hanging, and told me I would get my own, provided I attended the 6 hours of classes, and passed the exam.

Oh, yeah....there's just a tiny little fee of $300.00 for their lousy exam. Sound familiar? If not, scroll down...

For those of you good people in Downey and Van Nuys and wherever else these bottom-feeders have worked over, they're alive and well here in San Diego (or else one exactly like it) going by the title of S.C.L.P. It's been in Craigslist, and I'm sure it will pop up again. DON'T be fooled....
