I signed up for this service back in February of 09 with Tim Nielson.  The service was around 1600 dollars to fix my credit and get me back over a 700 score.  I paid 200 up front and wast guaranteed that only 99 per month would be withdrawn from my account until the balance was paid in full and this way i could cancel if i did not see any progress.  1 month later, 1400 dollars was withdrawn from my account.  Thankfully, i have Bank of America and reported it as fraud and they took care of it.  I called scoremorecredit, and they didn't know about the 99 per month.

Four months went by and i monitored my credit score through creditkeeper.com (a great service, all 3 reports for 10 dollars a month). Absolutely nothing had changed.  I called to complain, and they told me i needed to keep up with my account. I sent them a new report every month i recieved from credit keeper, apparently they forgot about it or repsond that they never recieve it.

Afrer i realized no progress was going to be made, i cancelled my debit card, and emailed them that as soon as i see any form of progress, i would start paying again.  Now, they send collection letters from a Credit Repair service???????? This is a copy and paste from their website "Risk Free 100% Money Back Guarantee!" They are full of it and no one should ever join with them.  I have 14 emails saved i have sent to them.  I have my phone records saved with over 50 phone calls and messages left to them.  NO RESULTS!!! And now i have another colleciton letter, worse mony i have EVER spent in my entire life!!

Let me know if anyone wants some of the emails i sent them, and if Brian Diez reads this, i told you i would speak up if you didnt respond to me!

Different payment terms

AUTHOR: em - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, April 25, 2019

Actually you promised no set up fees and the monthly payment was to be $99 per month only if progress was being made and no work needed to be done on my part.

There never was a signed credit card statement

Does lighting strike twice?

I've had an identical experience of promises of expectations, including score increase. Yet after repeated correspondence to Score More Credit, I've only received form letters.   And, in spite of sending emails to Brian Diez directly as well, I've yet to receive a personal response.  Initially I had I relied on the testimonials posted on their website and actually thought I'd be receiving the service I have paid for.  Unfortunately this has not been the case.  Ultimately,  I've been forced to take the same course of notifying my credit card company to stop auto payments and have spoken with attorney to file suit.  I guess we'll find out for once and for all that contracts require specific performance by both parties and ignoring requests for specific performance and merely filing with a collection company is bullying at best.  I really don't care Brian Diez reads this his time for negotiating and rectifying his company's lack of specific performance is over...  Isn't it odd that two us us from two different parts of the country share the same experience?

Ignorant consumers are the reason for reports like this, this so called ripoff by score more credit

I'll be honest.  I am a little partial to scoremorecredit, because I know the owner, not well, but I know him from personally taking care of any matter or answering any question that i've ever had.  I have even participated in phone conferences to give my testimonial.  Now, the owner Brian Diez, will even tell you straight up like he told me, there's no guarantee.  I don't think that you're being honest man, because first of all, you only have to pay 100 bucks initially, and your payments don't start until and unless you see progress, and that's a fact.  I was charged 100 bucks a month but it didn't start coming out of my account until I saw results.  First of all, you NEVER explained to anyone your situation, and if you're all about being fair, then you would do so.  You see, Brian and score more credit cannot help out you if you don't help yourself, and you may have had one or more accounts that was in collections.  One thing that the counselors will tell you is that there is a certain part that must be done by you, and it takes no effort at all, but still must be done.  My score went from around 600 to around 700, but this isn't a testimonial..  I can tell you that when I bought the service, they made no kind of guarantee except that I don't pay unless I see results, and I'm glad I did pay, because now things are pretty good being able to walk into a bank and get whatever loan you need.  Honestly, I never had an instance where score more credit didn't politely address or immediately take care of an issue.  Honestly, if you knew Brian, who is one of the extremely rare cases of actually starting a business with one of the main goals being to help people, then I don't think you'd be doing this.  Now, it's hard to tell if you're another company that may be trying to make them look bad, but i'll just assume that you have a problem with SMC.  Honestly, there's something not right here, and like I said, there are some situations with people that require them to do some work to get things straight so that the people who work at SMC can do their jobs.  And first of all, if you really were charged that much on your card, that is probably an accident, it happened to me with a mortgage company, but like any good business, they paid me back, and you.  You cannot stop a service that you've signed a contract for, which is why they sent you letters, to get their money.  Honestly, SMC has a ton of counselors and resources so yes unfortunately this isn't a free service.  The reason why i'm writing this is not to make you look stupid, but for people to realize that just because someone complains, it doesn't mean there's as much to it as it seems, just like there are two sides to every story.  I honestly believe that SMC is the best investment i've ever made, and by my score improving so drastically, i've been able to get a loan to start a business that is literally in the process of making more money in a week that i usually make in a year, so I am very grateful and will defend anyone who cuts them down without thoroughly explaining the situation.  I talked to a guy from texas last week who bought the SMC plan, and his score went up, and he's now in his first house he's ever owned.  So naturally, he wanted his wife's credit score to go up, so she called the owner, brian diez.  Brian looked at her credit report and told her that all she had to do was change a couple things and call the companys to get higher limits or something like that, and her score should go up a good bit, and the owner of smc recommended that she not purchase a plan, because she could do it for herself for free.  Now, tell me how many owners of businesses would do that.  I'm sure I can get this man to vouch for brian too.  This goes to everybody out there trying to research any business, realize that you have to be careful these days, but honestly with the internet sometimes competitors can pay people to say bad stuff and it gets posted where thousands view it, and this isn't right, especially when the business doesn't exist for the sole purpose of making money, even though that is the goal of every business.  The fact is that there are some people who purchase services that have unreal expectations or who are just too ignorant to be making decisions that require thinking, so they think just because they paid that this company should make them able to buy a ferrari overnight, when it just won't happen, and the businesses will tell you this.  There's always two sides to every story, you've heard mine, and you've heard about 10% of another one.  Thanks guys, the truth always comes out.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thanks for your post.

AUTHOR: scoremorecredit - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 08, 2009
Thank you, Ronald Pereira, for your post and the opportunity to clarify in public that which you have clearly misunderstood.

First, we never promised you or anyone else a credit score over 700. We do not gurantee credit scores...ever. What we do is audit your credit report for inaccuracies. By removing inaccurate or unverifiable negative data and coaching you on strategies for building a great credit portfolio we have assisted thousands of clients in increasing their scores, but there is too much we cannot control to put a guarantee on it. Bottom line, if your negative data returns as verified, then NO ONE can legally remove it.

The credit card authorization that you signed clearly shows you agreed to pay a $199 set up fee (we do not charge "up front " fees) once your account was visible online, then $1299 (not $1400) in one lump sum approximately 50 days after you enrolled, provided the results for the work previously performed were evident. Results, as we clearly explained had nothing to do with a credit score increase, but rather items removed, updated, deleted, verified, or no longer reporting. When the charge was declined, we converted you to a $99 per month payment plan as a courtesy. You again defaulted on your payment. After 60 days of trying to contact you for a new payment arrangement we sent your account to an outside agency to collect your debt and we suspended any further assistance.

If you are certain Score More Credit is guilty of wrong doing, then you should have no problem posting the service agreement and credit card authorization that articulates the terms of our arrangement.

I am currently reviewing your agreement and it clearly confirms everything I have posted in response to your accusations. Please show me I'm wrong and I will happily, humbly and publicly apologize to you for any inconvenience and refund 100% of any money we received from you.

I am still willing to assist you provided you bring your account current. Posting lies about me and my company in an attempt to force me into breaking our service agreement will not work. I am proud of what I do and I sleep well at night.

Any responses to this post without actual PROOF documenting any wrong doing are nothing more than unsubstantiated rants designed to discredit my reputation and should be disregarded entirely.
