Sears Roebuck poor, unethical treatment of employees Ripoff Eden Prairie Minnesota

*Consumer Comment: The Downfall of Sears
I have been working for Sears now for almost 7.5 years. Just the other day I was told that since Sears and Kmart are merging, the HR department was been told to "get everyone on the same page".
What this meant for me was that my pay is going to be cut by a third! I was told that since the pay scale for my position had been lowered recently, I was making too much! In essence, all of the time and effort I had put into earning raises was for nothing, because the raises I had earned were being taken away.
I hope others see this and realize Sears does not care about its employees, and they choose to shop elsewhere.
Thanks for your time,
Eric

Years ago, S-Mart, I mean Sears, moved the head cashier with 18.5 years of service, out to the automotive center, OUTSIDE, to write up service orders. She sued and won. Central Park Mall in San Antonio. She got her position back.

A&E cannot buy Sears. Sears owns A&E already. What's funny is that people who don't like Sears repair and shop at Lowes, Bust Buy, or Home Depot to avoid Sears are still having to deal with Sears repair because A7E does all the warranty work for those stores. And again, Sears owns A&E. So unless you go to small local repair companies (which are the only things keep Sears from being a monopoly in the repair market) you are being serviced by Sears.

The Downfall of Sears
AUTHOR: Allen - (U.S.A.)

It appears to me that Sears, Roebuck & Co. have continued this trend of taking their employees for granted. In the last year or two, the company had told their employees that they all made too much money. This I believe was done with the Product Repair Divison, as well as the retail stores.
If you made too much, they would have halted any raises that you may get or they would have lowered your wage. This was done to cut costs, something Alan Lacy (CEO) had wanted to implement on the ailing company. Now how would the employees feel?
I suppose he never considered the thought, what good is an employee anyhow? Sears pays extraordinary wages to their executives while turning a blind eye to the foundation of the company- the people who are working directly with the customers. They spend a foolish amount of time on what they call an ISO process, a flowchart to handle a customer basically. You cannot run a customer based company on a flowchart. There is not a shortage of customer complaints with the Repair Services at Sears because the system is meant to fail.
Now that Sears was bought by Kmart (two wrongs make a right????) There going to attempt some changes, again all are going to fail. Sears Essentials for example...a big block store where you can purchase a Craftsman Lawnmower and Milk all under one roof (Hope they don't promote a lifetime warranty on the Milk)will not stand a chance to the Target and Wal-Mart Supercenters, because they don't want to pay their employees the reasonable wage.
This treatment of employees is an indicator of the downfall of Sears. Some may know that Lowes have partnered with a Company called A & E Factory Service. This company A & E does repairs for products for Lowes. A & E is affiliated with Sears (pseudonym) Lowes sends their products to A & E, but they actually are being repaired by Sears Technicians such as their lawn equipment. I'm sure Lowes does not want to be part of company that does not pay their employees fairly??
With my guess, Sears will be selling off the Product Repair Services to A & E. Sears will continue to look for cash, because simply stated-It's your treatment of employees that will determine your fate. And it's across the board -humiliation-when you don't pay your employees what they deserve. So Sears...continue to fail-the Chief at Kmart is gonna be selling the company anyhow--he's an investor-not a retail genius, so don't depend on Sears thriving anymore-the hand that feeds Sears will soon be cut off....and I hope they look back and wish they gave some employees a raise.
