Shane Massick Disappointing workmanship Patterson Louisiana

We hired Shane Massick to remodel our master bedroom and bathroom. I questioned him about the previous complaint on this web site. He convinced me that the people were the problem and not him and his work. He is very convincing. Don't fall for it like I did. He started on approx. 7-2-2015 with a proposed completion date of 3 to 4 weeks. He finished and I made final payment on 12-11-2015, 5 months after starting. He promised to supply me with some molding so I could do some more finish work on the new cabinets and I have not received it even after reminding him several times. Todays date is 8-26-2016.

The job included refinish of wall and ceiling, new flooring, new tile and glass shower, and new cabinets.

He and his crews showed poor workmanship. Finish work was very poor, relying on chalk instead of a good fit. They had to rework some areas of trim due to putting  splices just a few inches from the corners or splicing window casing. Using a hand grinder to cut tile in the house creating lots of dust. Had him cut outside after first day and told him he needed a tile cutter instead of a grinder for second try at shower.

The tile shower was a mess. lots of high/lows and bad fitting of tiles. out of plumb and uneven walls. told him on three occations about the problems and he would say " oh, it will look fine after the grouting" Well when they finished it was horrible and I made him tear it all out and start over at his cost.  He agreed but would charge to level out the studs to insure a flat surface. which he should have done to start with. He charged 2 men 9 hours to do that when it only took them 3 hours. He agreed at final payment to compensate for the extra cost by supplying me with 3 sticks of inside corner molding like they used on the new cabinets they installed so that I could later do some more trimming on them. I still have not received the molding. which is why I decided to complain. He talkes a great job but it's all talk. He will lie to you and tell you whatever you want to hear. 

Do not fall for his lies as I did. He seems like a very nice guy but he has no bussiness in home remodeling or other constuction work.
