Shawn Varosky - walked off job stealing all LLC. paperwork - then demanded cash payment. theft of LLC documents, held documents for ransom until police were called. los angeles California

Shawn Varosky was hired to oversee paper work on our film set.  There were many complaints from other employees about his rudeness and lack of efficiency.  Then suddenly, he stormed off set for no apparent reason.  We asked him to return all of the LLC documents (insurance, talent releases, time cards, SAG paperwork etc etc) and he refused.  The next day he sent us a bill which he demanded be paid in CASH.  We realized that he was asking for more than he had earned.  He refused to return the paperwork for several days putting the entire film production in jeopordy.  Finally we called the police.  They asked if we wanted to press charges.  We explained that we wanted our paperwork back.  Finally, after the police told him that he wouid be arrested if he didn't return our property he gave the papers back.  Later he filed with the city to do arbitration.  He wanted to collect whatever money he could.  He lost.  Then he threatened a lawsuit for emotional distress, due to everyone on the cast and crew saying that he stole the documents (there are over a dozen witnesses to this fact).  I am available as are our entire staff to confirm this -  Don't hire this person.  He is unstable.
