I REGRET, along with many other Shoma homebuyers, EVER purchasing a home from this man, and to think that he uses our money to pay these rude, uncaring, incompetent employees is incredibly frustrating. SHOMA's customer service starts off extremely friendly and service-oriented from the moment they take your first deposit. This company is truly built on deceiving their customers, leading them to believe that they are going to get a high-end, luxury home that turns out instead to be a poorly constructed mess. Mr. Masoud uses the worst building products on the market and the lowest-paid labor available, thus providing his customers with a very low grade home. I now regret not doing my homework on this development company. If I would have done so via the internet I would have found many unhappy customers that have experienced the same or similar horror stories that I have also experienced. Mr. Masoud has created a one-sided contract that leaves the purchaser at a terrible disadvantage. Furthermore, he trains his employees well, not in customer service, but in the art of deceiving customers, and ignoring their concerns and complaints by NOT returning calls.

How do you or the rest of Shoma's employees sleep at night knowing you are part of an organization that rips off people out of their life savings and dreams of a home!!!!!!!!! SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!

Melissa: Congratulations! In Shoma, you have found the perfect match for your heartlessness and lack of conscience. You prey on honest people that are unfortunate enough to sign Shoma's one-sided contract. You would not survive in a legitimate organization that prided itself in service. You do not know what customer service means. One day maybe you'll be on the receiving end of the treatment you and your staffers give people.

Like many of the other complainants who have posted here, we also experienced the following horrors with Shoma:

1. Made us fly to Florida several times claiming that we had a scheduled walk through and closing and re-scheduled both without any advance notice, claiming they have the legal right. Funny, because the customer does not have the right to change or request extensions on any of their dates.
2. When a final walk through was scheduled, the home was in a chaotic state. It was obvious they were not ready as my punchlist was over 4 pages long. To this date none of the walk through items have been taken care of. As is typical of Shoma employees, once you close they forget that you exist and DO NOT return the customer's call.
3. Since you have completed your walk through they then force you to close. If not, they fine you for the days you make them wait.
4. Do not expect any type of high end finish on your home. Everything was very poor quality, if finished at all.
5. WALLS ARE EXTREMELY CROOKED. Counter tops in the kitchen were cracked and had marks on them. The contractors obviously used the counter tops to cut other things on top of them and then never replaced the damaged tops. I'm still waiting for this to happen.
6. None of the doors or windows were installed correctly. I did not find one door that was level, and all had uneven gaps between the frames and the doors.
7. The upgrades they offer are still lower end, and you pay an outrages amount for them. Unlike most builders, you'd do better to buy on your own.
8. My walk-thru was rushed and we were forced to close the next morning even though I had 4 pages of punchlist items. THEY THREATEN TO HOLD YOU IN FORECLOSURE AND TAKE AWAY YOUR HOUSE, WITH NO REFUND!!!

DO NOT BUY A HOME FROM THIS DEVELOPER. If you see the name Shoma, don't walk away, RUN!!! They build poor quality homes and hire very cheap and unskilled labor. Shoma Homes is a real-life nightmare and Mr. Shojaee and his employees will make your life miserable as they walk all over you on their way to profit-profit-profit.
