Showcase Resorts Promised a quick turnaround of my SummerBay Timeshare for a good price, that they already had a corporate buyer. Over one year later and many broken promises, I am out $2000 and still have the timeshare Las Vegas Nevada

Salesperson from Showcase named Rebecca called to see if I wanted to sell my Timeshare. She indicated that they worked with corporations to buy blocks of timeshares, and that they needed my property. I checked them out with BBB of Vegas and was told that all complaints against them had been resolved across the six years of their business life. I proceeded by paying $2000 on my credit card with a promise on their part that I would recoup that money in the sales price that the corporation had alread agreed to pay. I called the company numerous times over the next year, often twice per month. They would assure me that the deal was still on but that the economy dictated need of a delay for the corporation tax-wise, that I would for sure have my money by the end of June 2009 (process started 4/30/08) but that they would also put it in their showcase to sell as well in the private sector. I asked for my money back two times, once in December of 2008 and again a few days ago. This last time, I was told that I could not get it back, that it was not their fault that the corporate deal went sour. They told me that if I sued, it would cost me a lot of money and that their contract with me clearly showed that I had no recourse to the $2000. I have filed a complaint letter with Attorney General and BBB of Vegas. I sent a copy of the letters to Showcase.
