Silicon Solar Inc False Advertisement, poor product quality, lyers on the phone. Bainbridge New York

I bought two solar flag lights from them last fall. 5 months later, one of the lights was not working anymore. They ask the customer to trouble shoot it and provide somewhat of a procedure to do so. Whatever.

Long story short, the light's ON/OFF switch is defective, but also the battery in there is a 4V battery, when the product was advertised and speced out with a 6V battery on the general info sheet that comes with the product. Of course that's normal according to them but they want you to buy a 6V replacement battery for it! What a rip off!!

Also, no way to find out what their limited 1 year warranty means on any paper or their website. Their answer on the phone is only the solar panel is warrantied. Awful!

Their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. They took me for an idiot, lying to me about technical things, thinking that I would not know better. Telling me that their shipping department would have to make the call on my return/refund...what????? Which company's shipping department takes care of that??

Then they got tired of my complaints and probably felt that they should send me the 6V advertised battery, so they started to tell me that they discontinued the product AND the replacement batteries as well. What???

I can NOT get Matthew Farrell, their VP, on the phone. They refuse to transfer me and make up stories. I then filed a BBB complaint and their response was that "I was obviously trying to get a free replacement battery". Thankfully, BBB considered my complaint unsatisfied, among 140 others!!!

I think I am out of luck on this one, unless I personally travel to New York and get physical! But if you read this and was considering buying from them, a light or anything else, DON'T!!! you'll regret it. Somebody please get them off the market!
