I came across several charges on my account from MWI Simple Escapes. When I did not recognize the company I googled it. I was truely shocked to see the links regarding this company. After further investigating, it was Classmates.com who sold my info to Vertrue, Simple Escapes. Although classmates.com has said they would notify simple escapes and have my money refunded. I did not give authorization for classmates.com to sale my info nor did I give simple escapes to charge my account.
In the mean time, I have filed a complaint with a law firm in CA who has filed suit against the company. Send your complaint to them at MWI-victim@fbbp.com. Make sure to give as much info to them as possible. If we do not stand up to companies like Simple Escapes then more companies will pop up and think it is ok to scam because there are no concequences.
There has to be stricter guildlines for this kind of abuse on the internet.
