SKS Associates Another case of SKS scam!! New York, New York

When I opened my business I was unfortunately "sold" a sign from a company called Signtronix. The payment of the sign was set up through a leasing company called Northern Leasing Systems which I regretted from the very beginning. I paid all my payments in full and closed the account on April 02, 2007. Today I received a letter from a company called SKS Associates informing me that they have acquired the rights to all of Northern Leasing Systems leases and that an "audit" was conducted on my lease showing that certain taxes and related fees due were either not collected or under collected. They informed me that the amount owed was $75.19 and that they were going to debit my account on or about March 29th, 2011.(The date that I received the letter!) I contacted the company by calling the number they provided and spoke with a representative. I explained that this account was paid in full and had been for about four years and that there was no way I was going to pay this bill. He said that he would make a note in my file that I didn't intend to pay and then informed me that it would be sent to a collection agency. No charges have been made to my bank account yet.
